SAGA was founded in April 2017 and is registered as a non-profit society under the Alberta Societies Act. Responding to Pope Benedict's XVI's call to be "custodians of beauty," SAGA seeks to collaborate with other artists and organizations in promoting the sacred arts throughout Alberta and beyond.

Membership is open to anyone, both artists and non-artists who are interested in developing a deeper understanding of Christian sacred art as a living tradition and its contributions to our present and future cultural heritage.
