Vespers (Evening Prayer)
Hello Friends,
As an Advent devotion, our family will be singing Vespers (Evening Prayer) each Wednesday of Advent (December 2, 9, 16 and 23). We have decided to do it online in case anyone would like to join us. You are welcome to join us!
I have attached the booklet containing the text and music that we will be using this week. If you would like to just sign on and privately sing along while muted, that is absolutely fine and very much worthwhile. If you would like to take responsibility for one of the psalms or other chants, let me know, and we will take turns leading.
We will join together to pray Vespers again on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
For the first 15 minutes we will go over the structure of Vespers and practise the chants.
We will begin Vespers at 7:45pm. It lasts about 30 minutes, so we will finish around 8:15pm.
